Perth Scorchers and Brisbane Heat go head to head in Match 33 of the 2022-23 Big Bash League on Saturday evening at the Perth Stadium. The Scorchers are top of the table but lost their last game. Perth Scorchers won the tournament last year and in spite of losing to their nearest challengers, Sydney Thunder in the last game, we expect them to be too strong in all departments for Brisbane Heat. Brisbane Heat were on course for a big score when the rain came against Sydney Sixers and will want to prove they can compete with the big teams.

Perth Scorchers’ batting has not been as strong as their bowling in this competition. With the ball, they have pace, consistency and accuracy, something all other teams would wish for. We expect the bowling to be too accurate for Brisbane Heat. However, whether those will be enough to trouble the top of the table side remains to be seen. Perth Scorchers will be weaker without Jhye Richardson but will have an excellent team. They have slipped up in only two games so far in this campaign and we are predicting them to get back to winning ways in this match. Considering the team combination, Perth Scorchers is expected to win this match.
