Faf du Plessis— Chennai Super Kings
Faf du Plessis, another South African, couldn’t get the Super Kings off to a good start in their last game because he was penalised during the powerplay period. He’ll be itching to get on base for the club, and his propensity to hit home runs makes him a guy to watch.
Venkatesh Iyer— Kolkata Knight Riders
He went on to attain 53 runs and made a mockery of the target Mumbai set them to chase. He has played at a strike rate of 164.91 and most significantly, he has looked fearless at the highest of the order.
Varun Chakravarthy– Kolkata Knight Riders
Varun Chakravarthy has had a sensational run within the second leg of IPL 2021. The spinner has 10 wickets to his name from nine matches at a powerful economy rate of seven .05. within the UAE leg of the IPL, the tweaker has picked up four wickets and has bowled at an economy of a shade over six. If he gets into his groove, the CSK batters may find themselves in a lot of trouble.
Chennai Super Kings
The 20-run victory against Mumbai Indians sent a message to the rest of the IPL that CSK will be just as powerful in the UAE and Abu Dhabi as they were in India. Despite the victory, there were several batting errors, which will be a significant emphasis for MS Dhoni’s side in this match. So Csk will definitely try to keep going their tradition to win.
Kolkata Knight Riders
In their previous match, Kolkata Knight Riders defeated Mumbai Indians by 7 wickets in Abu Dhabi. Mumbai Indians scored 155 runs for 6 wickets while batting first. Lockie Ferguson and Prasidh Krishna both went after two scalps. With an 88-run stand between Venkatesh Iyer (53 off 30) and Rahul Tripathi, Kolkata Knight Riders knocked down the target with 29 balls to spare (74 off 42). Still, Csk has a lead against Kkr so definitely riders have to struggle to steal the win.
Chennai Super Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders have played 26 times in the history of this event, with CSK winning 16 and KKR winning 9. CSK defeated KKR by 18 runs at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai the last time these two teams played. Both clubs have been in excellent form recently, and the first game on Sunday looks to be another exciting matchup. As a result, the CSK has a chance to win this match.
