India will host Afghanistan in the only Test of the Afghanistan tour of India 2026 from 6th-10 June at Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium, Mullanpur. India will enter this match after being whitewashed by South Africa in their previous series at home. Shubman Gill captains the Indian team and they will be eager to make a strong comeback against Afghanistan on his home ground. The batting lineup still relies on Shubman Gill, Yashasvi Jaiswal, KL Rahul, and Rishabh Pant. On the bowling front, Mohammed Siraj will lead the pace bowling attack along with Prasidh Krishna.

On the other hand, Afghanistan will arrive for this match after a tough outing against Zimbabwe in their previous Test, where they suffered a heavy defeat. Their batting is led by the experienced pair of Rahmat Shah and captain Hashmatullah Shahidi. Qais Ahmad and Nangyal Kharotai led the team's bowling department.
