LSG vs RCB: RCB and LSG both are on equal points with only net-run-rate separating them. A win here takes one team to the top of the table, giving the winning side a strong advantage going forward in the tournament.
Both teams are coming into the game with varying approaches. For LSG, the opener are doing well while the middle-order seems shaky. For Bangalore, the batting order is shaky but Dinesh Karthik is doing well to save RCB in each game.
Match: LSG vs RCB
Date: 19th April 2022
Time: 7:30 PM IST
Venue: DY Patil Stadium, Mumbai
The weather for the upcoming game is clear with decent temperatures for the evening of the LSG vs RCB game.
The surface is good for batting but may also help spinners as the game progresses. The boundaries are a little bigger on the ground as well making it a little easier for spinners. Batting second is still a better option despite the grip on offer on the pitch.
KL Rahul (capt), Quinton de Kock (wk), Manish Pandey, Ayush Badoni, Marcus Stoinis, Deepak Hooda, Krunal Pandya, Jason Holder, Dushmantha Chameera, Avesh Khan, Ravi Bishnoi.
Faf du Plessis (capt), Anuj Rawat, Virat Kohli, Glenn Maxwell, Suyash Prabhudessai, Shahbaz Ahmed, Dinesh Karthik (wk), Wanindu Hasaranga, Harshal Patel, Mohammed Siraj, Josh Hazlewood.
Both teams are fully fit and unlikely to be changed with some good form behind them.
Dinesh Karthik
Dinesh Karthik is leaving no bowler alone. He is taking on the best and finding runs with ease in the back end of an innings. With Bangalore struggling against Delhi, Dinesh Karthik came up with a blinder to take his team to a really good score. With Karthik having some nice clarity over his role, batting is going well for him and he will be a player to watch out for.
Ravi Bishnoi
Ravi Bishnoi’s 24 balls will be very important against Bangalore. The likes of Kohli and Maxwell are known to fade slightly against leg-spin and if they struggle to pick him, the leg-spinner will walk away with a handful of key wickets. Dinesh Karthik is also a little slow against leg-spin so Bishnoi could be held back to have a go at Karthik in the death.
RCB are going well but their misfiring top-order remains a concern and keeps them behind LSG. With LSG doing well at the top and having some nice bowling options, they walk into this game with a healthy chance of winning.
Match Prediction: LSG will win the match.
