KKR vs SRH: Two losses, five wins and now four losses has helped SRH see both ends of the table. They are now in the middle of the table, and still in with a chance, but struggling to find wins again. They need three wins to make it to 16 points, a tally that should be sufficient to win the tournament. They are struggling with injuries as Natarajan is still in question while Kane Williamson is yet to find the form that SRH need to add stability in their top-order.
The Kolkata Knight Riders will be sweating on the results of RCBs and RRs games as they require both teams to lose if they are to stand a chance. KKR are in a tough situation as well but will be happy to see Venkatesh Iyer returning to form in the previous game. They need to win all their games to get to 14 points, and from there the other teams have to help them if they are to qualify.
Match: KKR vs SRH
Date: 14th May 2022
Time: 7:30 PM IST
Venue: MCA Stadium, Pune
The weather at Pune is clear for the KKR vs SRH game with the occasional cloud cover.
The Pune track is getting drier as the tournament progresses and will continue to help spin even more in the upcoming games. The last two games has seen batting sides win by big margins indicating that the surface is not too easy to dictate terms with the bat, and batting first will be a better option to avoid hassles in the second innings.
Aaron Finch, Venkatesh Iyer, Shreyas Iyer (capt), Nitish Rana, Rinku Singh, Sheldon Jackson(wk) Andre Russell, Sunil Narine, Tim Southee, Shivam Mavi, Umesh Yadav,
Kane Williamson (capt), Abhishek Sharma, Rahul Tripathi, Aiden Markram, Nicholas Pooran (wk), Shashank Singh, J Suchith/Washington Sundar, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Marco Jansen, Umran Malik, Kartik Tyagi
Kane Williamson
The SRH roster is filled with talent and almost every player has done something of note barring their captain, Kane Williamson. With a playoff spot on the line, Kane Williamson has to find a way to step up and bring his calmness into the fore as SRH look to break a four game losing streak, that has derailed their season.
Andre Russell
Andre Russell has been in pretty good touch with bat and ball this season. Like in 2019 though, he has struggled to find support from the openers and there is a often a lot left for the likes of him and Nitish Rana to do. He is still doing a brilliant job to clear the fence and is bowling really well in the death, making him a crucial asset in the game.
Both teams have blown hot and cold this season. Both teams also have some talented players in their side, who have failed to fire collectively. Even with talent on both sides though, the lack of death bowling consistency may put SRH a little behind unless someone like a Natarajan comes back or Kartik Tyagi steps up with his yorkers.
Match Prediction: KKR will win the match.
