South Africa Vs Bangladesh: South Africa hammered Bangladesh with spin in the first Test. They dismissed Bangladesh for 53 in the second innings as spinners took all ten wickets. In the first innings, both sides had their moments with the bat but then stepped up with the ball. South Africa was dismissed for 204 while Bangladesh was hammered in the chase to give South Africa their first win at Durban since 2013.
Match: South Africa Vs Bangladesh
Date: 8th April 2022
Time: 1:30 PM IST
Venue: St George’s Park, Gqeberha
St George’s Park is famous for its heavy winds during the game. The weather is clear with occasional clouds and heavy winds during the South Africa Vs Bangladesh Test.
The surface has bounce and with wind around in the afternoons players bowling into the wind will get some wild women.
Dean Elgar, Sarel Erwee, Keegan Peterson, Khaya Zondo, Temba Bavuma, Kyle Verreynne, Wiann Mulder, Keshav Maharaj, Duanne Oliver, Lutho Sipamla, Lizaad Williams
Tamim Iqbal, Shadman Islam, Monimul Haque, Mahmudul Hasan Joy, Mushfiqur Rahim, Litton Das, Yasir Ali, Mehidy Hasan Miraj, Abu Jayed, Shoridul Islam, Shoriful Islam.
Taskin Ahmed flew back home due to an injury and Shakib Al Hasan is also unavailable for the Test.
Tamim Iqbal
Tamim Iqbal missed the first Test due to an illness. In his absence the batting line-up struggled to take on the South African spinners. Naturally aggressive at the top and effective against slow bowlers, Tamim Iqbal’s return may help provide some stability at the top of the order.

Keshav Maharaj
Keshav Maharaj is living in his own world. Taking wickets is not easy in South Africa for spinners and Maharaj is managing to do a brilliant job with his slow bowling. He took seven in the second innings and showed that spin has its place in South Africa. With more confidence in himself, Keshav Maharaj will be handed a bigger role even when conditions aren’t as suitable as they were in Durban.
Bangladesh collapsed badly in the first Test and are missing some key players leaving them with a huge disadvantage.
Match Prediction: South Africa will win the Test match.
