The BPL Governing Council has ended contracts with the previous franchises. As a result, the upcoming season, likely to be held in December 2025 through January 2026, will start with an entirely new franchise structure.
The Bangladesh Premier League might take place at the same time as the IPL and PSL next year because of the T20 World Cup and the national elections in the country.
