Nicholas Pooran, the West Indies wicketkeeper-batter, was in excellent form during 2024. He scored quickly in the 21 games he has played and elevated his boundary-hitting game to new heights. Pooran would be an excellent choice at number three, where he can continue to attack bowlers in the powerplay and even improve the run rate when necessary.

He ended the T20 World Cup as the non-opening batter with the most runs, demonstrating his devastating ability. His finest innings was an unbeaten 65 against runners-up South Africa at Tarouba, which enabled West Indies to finish the chase quickly.
