Scotland set a target of 153 after being bowled out for 152 in 19.4 overs, showing promise through the middle stages of their innings. England’s bowlers maintained consistent pressure, striking at crucial moments to deny a late flourish. The chase was completed in 18.2 overs, as England reached 155/5 to secure valuable points and improve their standing.
Scotland’s total was built around a fluent 49 from captain Richie Berrington and a brisk 33 by Michael Jones at the top. Their 71-run partnership revived the innings after early setbacks and briefly put Scotland in control. However, England responded strongly through Adil Rashid, who claimed three key wickets, while Jofra Archer and Liam Dawson provided important breakthroughs.
