Top 5 debutants of 2024 from the Indian Cricket Team
In 2024, several young Indian cricketers shone brightly, showing immense potential. Here’s a list of the top 5 debutants who could shape India’s cricketing future.
5. Riyan Parag
Riyan Parag debuted for the Indian cricket squad in the T20I series against Zimbabwe. Parag scored the third-most runs in IPL 2024, with 573 for the Rajasthan Royals, who finished third. His outstanding season, batting at number four, made it hard for the selectors to overlook him, as a youthful India squad was selected for the five-match T20I trip to Zimbabwe.
After a dry spell in his career during 2022-23 period, Parag has made a remarkable and perfect comeback in domestic and IPL cricket, contributing significantly with the bat, bowling, and on-field agility. In his ongoing stint of nine T20Is and an ODI match, he has made 106 runs and 15 runs, respectively. Also, he has scalped four wickets in the T20I format and three wickets in the ODI format.
