This year, the asia cup 2025 will be played in the T20 format, which makes it even more exciting before of next year’s T20 World Cup. Team India are the defending champions from the 2023 ODI Asia Cup, but now they’ll be trying to win in the T20 format. The winner will take home a big prize, and here’s how much India could earn if they defend their title.

Winners Could Take Home USD 300,000 (₹2.6 Crore)

In the last T20 Asia Cup, Sri Lanka won around USD 200,000 (₹1.6 crore). This year, the prize money has increased, and if Suryakumar Yadav’s Indian team wins, they are expected to get USD 300,000 (around ₹2.6 crore). That’s a nice boost from the previous edition, making the tournament even more thrilling.

India’s Group Stage Matches

India has a fairly comfortable group and will play Pakistan, Oman, and the hosts UAE in the first stage. While Pakistan will be their toughest opponent, India has a good chance of moving on to the Super 4 stage.
