Australia Women and India Women will meet in the first ODI of their ongoing multi-format series on Tuesday, February 24. The match will be played at the Brisbane Cricket Ground, Woolloongabba, Brisbane. After an exciting T20I series, both teams will now shift focus to the 50-over format.

India recently won the T20I series 2-1. The first match at the Sydney Cricket Ground went in India’s favour by 21 runs through the DLS method. Australia responded well in the second game at Manuka Oval, winning by 19 runs to level the series. However, India claimed the final match at the Adelaide Oval by 17 runs to seal the series. That victory will give them confidence heading into the ODI leg.

Australia will look to make a strong comeback in front of their home crowd. They have a powerful squad and a great record in ODIs. India, on the other hand, will try to carry forward their winning momentum. With the multi-format series trophy at stake, both sides are likely to be keen to begin the ODI series with a win.

AUS-W vs IND-W: Pitch Report

The pitch at the Brisbane Cricket Ground usually supports good batting. The ball comes nicely onto the bat, allowing players to play their shots freely. Fast bowlers may get some swing and movement early in the innings, so teams will need to be careful in the first few overs. Once batters settle, scoring becomes easier.
