Australia Women and India Women will face off in the second T20I of the three-match series at the Manuka Oval in Canberra on Thursday, February 19. India lead the series 1-0 and will look to seal it, while Australia aim to bounce back strongly at home.

India made a strong start in the first match, winning by 21 runs through the DLS method in a rain-hit game. After choosing to bowl, their bowlers put early pressure on Australia. Renuka Singh struck in the first over, and Arundhati Reddy changed the match with a brilliant spell, picking up four wickets. Australia were bowled out for 133. In the short chase, Shafali Verma was aggressive and got good support from Smriti Mandhana as India secured a comfortable win.

In this must-win contest, Australia will be desperate to bounce back. Defending champions hosts also can equal the series with seasoned campaigners Ellyse Perry, Beth Mooney and Ashleigh Gardner leading the charge. They will look for a better batting show in the second T20I after collapsing in 1st match.

AUS W vs IND W: Pitch Report

Manuka Oval has recently become a popular venue for T20I matches in Australia. Since hosting its first T20I in 2019, it has staged five matches. Around 40 percent of the games have been won by teams chasing the target. A score above 180 is usually strong here. However, the pitch also helps the chasing team, making it challenging for bowlers to defend totals.
