Australia vs Pakistan T20I series likely to face broadcast blackout in Australia

The approaching T20I three-match battle between Australia and Pakistan has potentially gone non-broadcast in Australia. Just weeks ahead of the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2026, this creates an alarming situation, as no Australian broadcasters have yet expressed any interest in obtaining the rights to the series, primarily due to poor commercial viability and also due to minimal individual star appeal associated with either side.

As Australia and Pakistan will play the matches at 10:00 PM AEDT, there is also limited interest among broadcasters, as it is a very late time slot, as well as with many of Australia's highest-ranked players missing from the squad, creating a belief by networks that the series does not offer any of the leading names in Australian cricket that would attract viewership.
