BAN vs PAK, 1st ODI: Head-to-head, pitch report and predicted playing XIs
Bangladesh and Pakistan begin their ODI series with the first match in Dhaka. Both teams will look to start the three-match contest with an important victory.

Bangladesh is set to take on Pakistan in the first ODI of the three-match series at the Shere Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka on March 11. Both teams will look to start the series on a high note.
Bangladesh is returning to international action after a long hiatus, having skipped the recent T20 World Cup because of security reasons. The Bangla Tigers last played an ODI series at home in October last year against the West Indies, winning the series 2-1. Under the leadership of Mehidy Hasan Miraz, the hosts will look to continue their good form at home and start the series on a high.
Pakistan, on the other hand, will look to make amends for their disappointing performance in the T20 World Cup. The team has failed to qualify for the knockout stage for the last two editions of the tournament. However, Pakistan’s last ODI series was a successful outing for the team, having beaten Sri Lanka 3-0 at home in November 2025. The Men in Green will look to carry that momentum into the series against Bangladesh.

BAN vs PAK: Pitch Report
Shere Bangla National Stadium is considered a good wicket for spin bowlers. The wicket is generally slow, and it is not easy for batsmen to score runs. The team that wins the toss may decide to bat first because it may become difficult for the batsmen to bat later on such a slow wicket.
