Ahead of the IPL 2026 season, another video of MS Dhoni went viral on the social media platform ‘X’. The video captured a moment of an advertisement shoot with the Chennai Super Kings (CSK).  Along with MS Dhoni, captain Ruturaj Gaikwad and Rahul Chahar were there, facing the camera.

The video showed that the cricketers were enjoying the moment while trying to deliver some dialogue. Chahar, who was throwing a line with a serious face, would have managed to make it wrong. Dhoni was standing on his right side after Gaikwad, who passed some comments, which must have been very funny, as all of them burst out in laughter.

Chennai Super Kings have already started their campaign for the 2026 edition of the Indian Premier League. They started their training in their own training facilities. A few days ago, the team unveiled its new jersey as well, along with the new sponsor. A bunch of Indian cricketers have been preparing for the IPL 2026 season, and the overseas players and coaching staff are also expected to join the squad soon.

If the speculations are to be believed, then the next IPL season can be the last campaign as a cricketer. After the 2026 season, the former Indian cricketer is likely to announce retirement from franchise cricket as well.

The IPL 2025 season proved disastrous for the five-time title-winning team. They finished the season as the last team in the points table. The Chennai-based team managed to win only 4 matches out of 14. With only 8 points and a net run rate of -0.647, the team was in tenth place in the 10-team league.  

For the 2026 IPL season, CSK has undergone a significant roster overhaul, highlighted by the blockbuster trade-in of Sanju Samson for Ravindra Jadeja and Sam Curran. The squad boasts a new look with key inclusions, including the stars Sanju Samson, Dewald Brevis, Ayush Mhatre, and Sarfaraz Khan.
