Which cricketers and boards had their social media accounts hacked recently?

Social media hacking attempts involving cricketers and cricket organizations have also been reported in recent years. In February 2026, Indian cricketer Rinku Singh's Facebook account was reportedly hacked, and he was locked out of his profile. The incident also involved the diversion of monetization funds, while a cyber case was registered in Aligarh before he recovered his account.

Washington Sundar's social media account was also hacked in 2023, with unauthorised cryptocurrency-related links reportedly shared through it. In another incident in July 2026, the official Facebook page of the Assam Premier League was compromised. The page reportedly posted a defamatory message about Rajasthan Royals batter Riyan Parag before access was restored.
