The growing injury list in Indian cricket has prompted the BCCI to take a closer look at the rehabilitation process at the Centre of Excellence (CoE) in Bengaluru. BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia is scheduled to meet Head of Cricket VVS Laxman on Sunday to review the rehabilitation programme after several key players were ruled out of upcoming international assignments due to injuries.

India are currently without Jasprit Bumrah, Sai Sudharsan, Harshit Rana, Nitish Kumar Reddy, Washington Sundar and Akash Deep. Meanwhile, Hardik Pandya, Varun Chakravarthy and Prince Yadav are also undergoing rehabilitation at the CoE as they work towards regaining full fitness.

According to reports, 13 Indian players are currently undergoing rehabilitation at the BCCI Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru. The list includes senior players such as Bumrah and Pandya, along with several members of India's wider selection pool. Indian spinner Varun Chakravarthy is currently admitted to the BCCI Centre of Excellence (CoE) in Bengaluru for rehabilitation after suffering a left foot injury during the IPL 2026 playoffs. He later faced a hamstring issue during the England T20I series, which further delayed his return to full fitness.

Varun is currently undergoing recovery and rehabilitation at the CoE under the BCCI medical team. Due to his injury, he missed India’s T20I tour of Ireland and is working to regain full fitness before returning to international cricket.

Yudvir Singh Charak suffered discomfort in his right shoulder while bowling and during a fielding session in June 2026 while with India A. He was ruled out of the Sri Lanka A tri-series and is currently following a rehabilitation programme at the BCCI Centre of Excellence (CoE) in Bengaluru.

Yudvir is currently sidelined from bowling and is focusing on rotator-cuff exercises and shoulder-stabilisation work. His pain levels have reduced, while strength training is ongoing as he continues his recovery under medical supervision.

Akash remains under strict medical supervision and is currently in the resting and conditioning phase of his rehabilitation. He will begin bowling reconditioning only after the required recovery period and once his medical team clears him to increase his workload.
