In a significant initiative to support cricket fans, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation has announced extended metro services on 8 April. This move comes ahead of the highly anticipated IPL 2026 fixture between the Delhi Capitals and the Gujarat Titans at the Arun Jaitley Stadium.

To ensure smooth and safe travel for spectators after the match, DMRC has revised the last train timings across key metro corridors. The decision is aimed at efficiently handling the expected surge in passenger traffic, particularly at nearby stations such as Delhi Gate Metro Station and ITO Metro Station.

With this adjustment, fans across the National Capital Region will be able to rely on metro services well beyond regular hours. The extended operations are expected to ease congestion, improve crowd management, and provide a convenient and reliable transport option following the late-night sporting event.
