Dewald Brevis produced a breathtaking moment in the Indian Premier League 2026 clash, pulling off a sensational catch in the deep to dismiss Sai Sudharsan. The effort stood out instantly, bringing excitement to the contest between the Chennai Super Kings and the Gujarat Titans.

The dismissal came off the bowling of Akeal Hosein, who delivered a quicker short ball outside off. Sudharsan rocked back and struck a powerful pull shot towards deep mid-wicket. Despite the brilliance in the field, Sudharsan’s impressive knock of 87 came to an end, leaving Gujarat just four runs away from victory. Sai Sudharsan Powers GT to Comfortable Win as CSK Struggle at Home

Sai Sudharsan delivered a superb unbeaten 87 at his home ground in Chennai, guiding the Gujarat Titans to a comfortable eight-wicket victory over the Chennai Super Kings in the Indian Premier League 2026. Chasing a modest target of 159, the Titans’ top order showed composure and professionalism to complete the chase with ease.

Earlier, Chennai Super Kings struggled to build momentum after being asked to bat first. The opening spell from Kagiso Rabada and Mohammed Siraj put immediate pressure on the hosts, with early breakthroughs leaving CSK reeling. Sanju Samson and Urvil Patel were dismissed in quick succession by Rabada, while the decision to use Sarfaraz Khan as an Impact Player backfired as he departed for a golden duck.

At 25/3, CSK’s innings was steadied by captain Ruturaj Gaikwad, who joined hands with Dewald Brevis and later Shivam Dube to rebuild the innings. However, the scoring remained slow, with Chennai managing only 43 runs in the first 10 overs, well below expected IPL standards.

Gaikwad gradually shifted gears in the second half of the innings, finding support from Dube to push the total forward. He eventually brought up a fighting half-century off 49 deliveries—the slowest of IPL 2026 so far—highlighting CSK’s struggle to accelerate against disciplined Gujarat bowling despite a late recovery effort.
