The Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), at the halfway mark of the game against the Rajasthan Royals (RR) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Stadium in Lucknow, were strong in chasing a low score despite the surface being a little tricky.

But losing wickets from the start is never going to make it easy for them. Their top order returned for a combined total of 55 runs, and all of these 55 runs came off Mitchell Marsh’s bat. The remaining three batters, Ayush Badoni, captain Rishabh Pant, and Aiden Markram, added three ducks in a total of 10 balls.

Even towards the end of the innings when they were so much in front of the game, Rajasthan didn’t lose attention from the action. Dhruv Jurel, who has been in sharp mode with the wicket-keeping gloves behind the stump, continued the same energy with another superb catch.

It was the third delivery of the 18th over of the innings. Mayank Yadav didn’t want to get in line as he expected a short delivery. It was full, and the seam came out wobbly on the middle stump towards the batter.

The batter leaned back, guided the ball with an open-face bat, as if it were a catching practice in the slips before the game. Jurel dived to his right and was airborne when he pulled off a fine catch. The ball was dying and going at a full pace.

It was a great catch from the keeper towards the end of the innings as they bundled out the Lucknow side for 119 runs to claim a 40-run victory.
