To defend the 155 runs during the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 clash for the Rajasthan Royals against the Kolkata Knight Riders at the Eden Gardens, the visitors needed a strong start with the ball in picking early wickets inside the powerplay. And they did that exactly from the very first delivery of the second innings.

Rajasthan also needed some special and quality fielding performance to keep itself ahead in the encounter. The surface didn’t help the batters to time the shots easily as the spinners got grip and spin off the 22-yard.

Dhruv Jurel’s outstanding stumping removes Cameron Green in IPL 2026

The RR captain, Riyan Parag, introduced Ravi Bishnoi in the fifth over of the innings. On his second delivery, Cameron Green used his height beautifully to cut the short ball and got it off the toe end as the ball raced away from down to the third man region for a boundary. The very next delivery was defended into the cover region.

But what happened next was nothing but extraordinary. The fourth delivery was down the leg side to the right-handed batter, who came down the track. But Green read the googly wrong and was beaten with the spin.

The wicket-keeper, Dhruv Jurel, was totally blinded by the batter. But he dived to his left and collected the ball before throwing it directly to the stumps one-handed. Green, meanwhile, was well down the track and couldn’t recover to be dismissed for 27 runs off 13 balls with the help of two fours and one six.

It was an excellent job from the wicket-keeper, who managed to hold the ball and was able to throw it rightly at the stumps.

Brief Scores (at the time of writing): KKR 89/6 (Cameron Green 27, Ravindra Jadeja 2/8) vs RR- 155/9 (Vaibhav Sooryavanshi 46, Varun Chakravarthy 3/14)
