Dwayne Bravo openly expressed his views over Mahendra Singh Dhoni's IPL career. Dhoni, now 44, participated in IPL 2025 with Chennai Super Kings (CSK). Cricket fans are still speculating about his possible retirement from franchise cricket as well. Like before, the former India captain did not reveal his plans about hanging up his gloves and pads.
By the next year's IPL, Dhoni will be approaching his 45th birthday. In a recent interview, Dhoni's former CSK teammate and former West Indies international Dwayne Bravo opened up about MSD's retirement from IPL. Bravo clearly said that he, or the CSK franchise, is not bothered about the keeper-batter's retirement; the speculations are mainly from some people. The former all-rounder believes Dhoni still is the best among all the wicketkeepers in the Indian Premier League.
"CSK management isn't worried about Dhoni's retirement; it's other people who are concerned, and that baffles me. He's still the best WK in the IPL," Bravo said during the interview.

The brand value of MS Dhoni is unmatchable
The former T20I World Cup felt that the decision of retirement completely lies with Dhoni himself. He believes if Dhoni thinks he has nothing more to contribute, he'll walk off. Bravo highlighted the brand value the former India skipper offers on the table.
"He'll walk away whenever he thinks he can't contribute enough. MSD, the name and brand, is more important than anything else," Bravo added.

MS Dhoni played 14 IPL 2025 matches for the Chennai Super Kings and was the leader of the team to replace their injured captain, Ruturaj Gaikwad. Dhoni, who won 5 IPL titles with CSK as the skipper, scored 196 runs with an average of 24.50. He had to endure repeated criticism because of his batting, but he was lightning fast behind the stumps like before.
