Experienced fast bowler Mohammed Shami labelled the bowling performance as a historic achievement. "Mohammed Siraj delivers a sensational spell of fast bowling, claiming 6 wickets. A performance etched in history—pace, precision, and pure dominance." Arshdeep Singh, a member of India's present Test squad, explained Siraj with only 2 words and a short video of his teammate. In this video we can see the destructive bowler in a bus, probably in the team bus, with a big smile on his face accompanied by a victory sign.

"The giant"—that"'s all that was said by Singh in his post after Siraj claimed 6. Siraj put Suryakumar Yadav's post first on his Instagram story. The T20I format captain of India said, "Kya baat hai, DSP sir. (Superb Mohammed Siraj)." Kuldeep Yadav, another teammate of the seamer, also expressed his feelings through words. Yadav highlighted the passion the pace bowler carries. "What a spell, brother. Pure passion and skill," Kuldeep said.

Former cricketers also heap praise for Siraj

Along with active players, former India internationals also praised the right-handed bowler. Yuvraj Singh said, "Top-class bowling from the boys. Siraj with a fiery 6 and Akash Deep chipping in with a solid 4. Pure class from the pace pack!" Harbhajan Singh was also thrilled to witness the 6-wicket spell against England, in England. Like Yuvraj, Harbhajan wrote on social media, "Well done, Mia," and Suresh Raina said, "Well done, bro." 

Mohammed Siraj, in his 19.3-over spell in the first innings of the second Test, claimed a total of 6 supported by 3 maiden overs and with an economy rate of 3.59. The 31-year-old claimed the wickets of Zak Crawley, Joe Root, Ben Stokes, Brydon Carse, Josh Tongue, and Shoaib Bashir. England's first innings came to a halt on 407. After Day 3, India now leads the match by 244 runs.
