England announce ODI and T20I squads for Australia tour 2026- Know full details
England have announced their ODI and T20I squads for the 2026 tour of Australia, with Jacob Bethell and Jofra Archer returning for the ODIs and four uncapped players in the T20I squad. Know full details

England have decided to rest their pacers for their Test trip to South Africa in December, with Jofra Archer, Gus Atkinson, Josh Tongue, and Sonny Baker being rested for their next T20I series against Australia. However, they have named a full-strength squad for the three ODIs against Australia to prepare for the upcoming ODI World Cup 2027.
Thomas Rew, the 18-year-old wicket-keeper batter, and the Hampshire seamer, Eddie Jack, have won their first call-ups for England for the five-match series. Aneurin Donald has retained his spot, with Jos Buttler being sidelined after hamstring surgery.

Rehan Ahmed is the notable absence from both squads while Saqib Mahmood misses out with another injury. The latter has won only 40 caps for them across the formats since making his international debut in early 2020.
“The returns of Jacob Bethell and Jofra Archer for the ODI series means that we will be at close to full strength as we ramp up preparations for a World Cup in a year. The four quick bowlers will then leave after the three-game ODI series as we look to manage them ahead of the Test tour of South Africa.” England’s national selector, Marcus North, expressed.
