Watch: Fans engaged in brutal fight during PSL 2026 final in Lahore

There was a huge cheer and excitement among the fans during the final of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2026, which took place between the Hyderabad Kingsmen and Peshawar Zalmi. The clash took place at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. The encounter attracted a massive number of fans for the impressive batting and bowling performances.

Most of the fans arrived at the venue for the fame of Babar Azam, who was leading the Peshawar side and had been phenomenal with the bat, scoring two centuries in the league stage of the competition. The 31-year-old has smashed all his critics with a strong performance with the bat. 

Fans lose cool to get engaged in aggressive fight during PSL 2026 final

The Peshawar Zalmi side finished the points table in the league stage at the top. They earned eight victories in 10 encounters at a net run rate of +2.364 with several big-margin wins. On the other hand, Hyderabad Kingsmen, who started the campaign with four successive losses, qualified for the playoffs with five wins in the last six clashes.

The Kingsmen recorded a memorable victory on the very last ball of the defense against the Islamabad United in the second qualifier, thanks to a superb bowling performance in the death overs. That was what made the final clash more competitive.

However, a video went viral on social media platforms, where the fans of the two sides were seen to be engaged in a brutal fight. It went from bad to worse as it became aggressive and physical, with a few more fans joining in the incident.

Peshawar Zalmi wins PSL 2026 title with memorable victory

Put into bat first, the Kingsmen got bundled out for just 129 runs in 18 overs. Only four of their batters crossed the double figures while Saim Ayub went on to celebrate 54 runs in a fighting knock off 50 balls at a strike rate of 108 with the help of five boundaries and two sixes. Aaron Hardie was at the peak of the bowlers with his figures of 4/27 in four overs.

Zalmi didn’t make a great start in the chase, being restricted to 40/4 in 4.5 overs. But Hardie stood up with a dashing knock of 56 runs in 39 balls at a strike rate of 143.59, with the help of nine boundaries, while Abdul Samad contributed 48 runs in 34 deliveries, scoring three fours and four sixes.
