Watch: Police step in after fans misbehave with cheerleaders at Ekana Stadium during LSG vs PBKS — IPL 2026
The Lucknow Police step in after the fans misbehaved with the cheerleaders at the Ekana Stadium during the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 clash between the PBKS and LSG side.

Away from the action in the field during the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 clash between the Punjab Kings (PBKS) and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Stadium in Lucknow, another incident happened where the police needed to step in after fans misbehaved with cheerleaders from the stands.
The incident didn’t paint a good picture of the stadium’s condition. When a competitive game is going on among the star players of international cricket, these sorts of behaviors are really unexpected from the fans.
What exactly happened at Ekana —The viral incident that forced the police to act during LSG vs PBKS
Generally, the cheerleaders of the respective sides come onto the stage and dance after their team either smashes a six and a boundary or takes a wicket while bowling. They were doing the same job even in Ekana when someone from the stands seemed to throw a foul word at one of them.

The cheerleader was quick to address the person as she called the police, who arrived and took action against those fans by getting them out of the stadium. These things are really unnecessary and shouldn’t happen on the ground.
The fans are really important for a game to get the excitement, but they need to respect everyone who is associated with it in some shape or form.

The home side, put into bat first, posted a decent score of 196 runs for the loss of eight wickets in their allotted 20 overs. Their opening batter, Josh Inglis, celebrated his third fifty in five innings of the campaign.
Inglis smashed a fine knock of 72 runs in 44 balls, thanks to nine boundaries and a couple of sixes at a strike rate of 163.34. India's Abdul Samad contributed a vital innings of unbeaten 37 runs off 20 balls, with three boundaries and as many sixes.
In reply, Punjab completed the chase in 18 overs by seven wickets as their captain, Shreyas Iyer, remained unbeaten on 101 runs off 51 balls with the help of 11 boundaries and five sixes at a strike rate of 198.04.
Despite the win, they will hope the Rajasthan Royals (RR) to lose their last contest against the Mumbai Indians and the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) avoid beating the Delhi Capitals (DC) by a massive margin.
