At the boundary line, Finn Allen and Calvin Harrison combined to pick a superb relay catch to send back the opposition’s opening batter, Jamie Smith, during The Hundred 2026 clash between the Trent Rockets and the Southern Brave at Trent Bridge in Nottingham.
Heading into the clash, the Rockets are at the top of the points table with five victories in seven clashes while the Brave side had just a couple of wins in seven encounters. The latter, however, has already been eliminated from the competition.

After a dot delivery, the pressure got over the Brave opener, Jamie Smith, who needed to play an aggressive shot to release the pressure. On the 29th delivery of the chase, the right-handed batter picked up the length off the pads against Craig Overton as the ball had nearly gone over the ropes for a massive six.

However, the man at deep square, who was Calvin Harrison, took it and threw it upwards before going over the ropes. The man at the deep mid was in the right position and managed to take it. That was a good shot, and it seemed the ball was going for a six.

Finn Allen, meanwhile, came rushing in and intercepted before doing well to grab the ball. Smith was dismissed for 26 runs off 18 balls, thanks to four boundaries and one six.
Tristan Stubbs' blistering fifty guides Southern Brave past Trent Rockets for a consolation win
The Rockets, batting first, posted a decent score of 158 runs for the loss of five wickets in their allotted 100 balls, as most of their batters got starts but failed to convert them into big scores. Mitchell Santner remained unbeaten on 35 runs off 23 balls thanks to three boundaries and one six at a strike rate of 152.17, while Lewis Gregory creamed 28* runs off 18 balls at a strike rate of 155.56.

Brave completed the chase by six wickets with three balls to spare, despite getting edged away from the chase at the initial phase. The 70-run stand between South Africa's Tristan Stubbs, who smashed an unbeaten 52 runs off 28 balls, and Marcus Stoinis, who drilled 46 runs in 25 balls, thanks to four boundaries and three sixes.
