Watch: Dewald Brevis's no-look six stuns Birmingham Phoenix

The London Spirits’ middle-order batter, Dewald Brevis, has displayed his iconic no-look six during The Hundred 2026 clash against the Birmingham Phoenix at Lord’s as the fans went wild at the glorious shot on social media platforms. Brevis went after the England spinner, Rehan Ahmed.

Heading into the contest, both the Spirits and Phoenix were at the bottom of the points table. The latter had been under pressure since the beginning of the competition, losing their captain, Jacob Bethell, who has also been ruled out of the Tests against Pakistan.

On the 22nd delivery of the chase, Jordan Thompson sent back the London Spirit opener, Lhuan-dre-Pretorious, for 16 runs off 11 balls with the help of three boundaries. With the wicket, Brevis walked into the middle and picked up the tossed-up delivery from Rehan Ahmed.

The South African batter got the ball in his range and got under the delivery to loft it over the long-on region. It was his no-look iconic six, where he looked down at the soil and smacked the ball with full power and authority as the ball sailed over the boundary rope for a massive six.

He continued the carnage with two more sixes against Thompson as he remained unbeaten on 55 runs off 31 balls at a strike rate of 177.42, thanks to five boundaries and three sixes.

Birmingham, at Lord’s, batted first and posted a strong score of 162 runs for the loss of four wickets in their allotted 100 balls. Their wicket-keeper opening batter, Joe Clarke, smacked 73 runs off 42 balls, shouldering on four boundaries and five sixes at a strike rate of 173.81, along with England's Sean Dickson’s superb knock of 51 runs off 28 balls at a strike rate of 182.14.

In reply, the Spirits completed the chase by seven wickets with 18 balls to spare. Apart from Brevis’ half-century, their captain, Liam Livingstone, drilled a dashing knock of 66 runs off 30 balls at a strike rate of 220, thanks to seven boundaries and four sixes.

Spirits stayed at the penultimate position of the points table, while both of them have been out of the competition.
