First Innings: Gujarat Titans Make a Record Total

Gujarat Titans opened the innings and played a strong total of 217 runs in 6 wickets in 20 overs. Sai Sudharsan was the top performer of the innings. He scored 82 runs from 53 balls, making boundaries across the ground. Good support was given by Shahrukh Khan with a quick 36 from 20 balls. Jos Buttler also scored 36 runs from 25 balls.GT kept scoring regularly throughout the innings, never giving RR bowlers a chance to settle. Their batting was positive and intelligent, with sound partnerships.

Second Innings: RR Lose Early Wickets

Rajasthan Royals were having a difficult time from the very beginning of their chase. They continued to lose wickets and were not able to maintain the run rate required. At 7.4 overs, RR lost 4 wickets for just 68 runs. Sanju Samson attempted to steady the innings with 25 runs from 18 balls, but he got out without making a major contribution. The rest of the batting order could not bounce back from the initial loss. RR fell well behind the target in the end, and the Gujarat Titans (GT) won easily.

Mohammed Siraj's Bowling Highlights

Mohammed Siraj, who is famous for his speed and aggression, started bowling for the Gujarat Titans. In his opening over, Siraj conceded 9 runs, including 3 wides and a boundary by Yashasvi Jaiswal off the covers. The ace pacer returned well from his second over, delivering tight balls to the important batsmen such as Sanju Samson, with a timely dot ball as well. Although he did not get a wicket, Siraj maintained the pressure with good line and length. The inclusion of Siraj aided GT in managing the powerplay as well as keeping pressure on RR batter early in the innings.
