Pakistan’s Prime Minister, Shehbaz Sharif, has congratulated the Pakistan players on their superb four-wicket victory against India during the Hong Kong Sixes 2026, which took place at the Mission Road Ground in Mong Kok on October 30. They completed the chase of 89 runs in just 3.5 overs.  

The Abbas Afridi-led side lost their opening clash of the competition against the United Arab Emirates (UAE), thanks to their last-ball six, with their captain and opening player playing a superb knock till the end.

India batted first and were restricted to 88 runs for the loss of five wickets in their allotted six overs. Apart from Shashank Singh’s 40-run knock off 11 balls with a couple of boundaries and five sixes at a strike rate of 363.64, none of the Indian batters were able to put up a big score.

Pakistan completed the chase by four wickets with seven balls to spare. Afridi nailed a terrific knock of 35 runs off eight balls at a strike rate of 437.50 with five over boundaries and one boundary, while Khawaja Nafay smacked 41 runs off 12 balls.

The Pakistan prime minister, Shehbaz Sharif, congratulated the Pakistan side on the victory in their second clash of the competition.
