Restricted to 53/4 just after the powerplay, Pakistan found themselves under pressure in the 112-run chase against Bangladesh during the Asian Games 2026 semifinal, before Hasan Nawaz showed his class with brutal power. His one of the sixes broke the window as the video went viral around the social media platforms.
Pakistan’s captain, Sahibzada Farhan, won the toss and decided to bowl first, despite the surface being expected to get slow in the second innings. The batters found it incredibly tough to time the spinners, who got the advantage by changing the pace of the balls.

Hasan Nawaz’s first six of the afternoon came on the fourth delivery of the eighth over, when he belted Nasum Ahmed over the long-off region. The spinner made the mistake of dropping it short. The right-handed batter finished the over with another six as he lofted the ball inside-out over extra cover.

How Pakistan beat Bangladesh to reach the Asian Games 2026 final
Bangladesh, put in to bat first, were restricted to 111 runs for the loss of seven wickets in their allotted 13 overs. Their lower-order batter, Towhid Hridoy, played a fine knock of 42 runs off just 25 balls at a strike rate of 168, with the help of two boundaries and four sixes. However, he missed out on contributions from the other end.
Pakistan didn’t make a strong start either in the chase and were reduced to 53/4 in the seventh over. Their captain, Sahibzada Farhan, made his way to the dressing room for just one run. But the unbeaten 59-run stand between Nawaz and Abdul Samad shouldered them to the six-wicket win.
