During the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) 2026 clash between the Jamaica Kingsmen and the St Kitts and Nevis Patriots at the Warner Park in Basseterre, St Kitts, Wanindu Hasaranga grabbed a stunning one-handed catch to dismiss Usman Khan for 10 runs, reflecting his skills in the field.
The Navis Patriots sit at the bottom of the points table with just one victory in five encounters at a net run rate of -0.278 as they have now experienced three successive defeats in the competition. Meanwhile, Jamaica stood at the fourth position with three victories in four clashes at a NRR of +0.005.

It was the final delivery of the ninth over of the first innings when Obed McCoy went for a full-length delivery to Usman, who was caught flat-footed as he went for a drive away from his body and failed to get the balance of power and timing into the cover region where Hasaranga was fielding.

Wanindu Hasaranga later showed his magic with the ball as he dismissed Rovman Powell for 21 runs. The former West Indies captain didn’t get the anticipated elevation on the leg spin and gave a simple catch to Kevin Wickham as the bowler returned with figures of 2/18 in four overs.

Batting first, Jamaica Kingsmen posted a massive score of 182 runs for the loss of seven wickets in their allotted 20 overs. Their number three batter, Saim Ayub, smashed a dashing knock of 102 runs while the others chipped in with small contributions. Keemo Paul played a vital knock of unbeaten 25 runs off 13 balls, thanks to his three boundaries.
In reply, the Patriots fell short of the target by 11 runs. Andre Fletcher nailed 55 runs off 38 balls, shouldering four boundaries and three sixes, while Dasun Shanaka tried hard with three sixes in the final over and ended with 35* off 18 balls.
