West Indies meets South Africa in M47 at the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 on 26 February in at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad. Both the sides in the tournament so far are unbeaten and both will be keen to further their winning streak in this crucial Super Eight encounter.

West Indies has been outstanding throughout the competition. They started the Super Eight stage with a massive 107-run win over Zimbabwe. The Caribbean side posted a huge total of 254 runs, powered by Shimron Hetmyer’s 85 and Rovman Powell’s 59, along with a late contribution from Sherfane Rutherford. Their bowlers completed the job by bowling Zimbabwe out for 147, with Akeal Hosein and Gudakesh Motie leading the spin attack. Another win here would strengthen West Indies’ chances of reaching the semi-finals.

South Africa have lived up to expectations in the tournament with consistent performances. They have been dominating the tournament and have taken the momentum into the Super Eight stage with a convincing victory over the defending champions India. Although they lost a couple of early wickets, Dewald Brevis scored 45, and David Miller contributed a crucial 63, while Tristan Stubbs chipped in with a quick 44 to take the total to 187/7. The bowlers then took over, restricting India to just 111 runs. Marco Jansen and Keshav Maharaj then played key roles with the ball as South Africa secured a victory.
