IND vs SA 3rd T20I: India vs South Africa highlights and key performances

A statement-making win for team India. After a massive defeat in the second match, the home team bounced back in style at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium in Dharamshala on Sunday. India defeated South Africa (IND vs SA 3rd T20I), chasing only a target of 118 runs in 20 overs.

Toss and the first innings:

India won the toss and elected to bowl first. In the previous match, India was the bowling side in the first innings and performed poorly both with bat and ball. Captain Suryakumar Yadav showed faith in the bowlers and elected to field first in the 3rd match.

This time, the bowling department of Team India performed as a unit, for which the South African batting line-up suffered a lot. Batting first, the away team registered only 117 runs in the first innings. A brace each for Arshdeep Singh, Harshit Rana, Kuldeep Yadav, and Varun Chakaravarthy.

Second innings:

Team India did not have to toil much to claim the target. Abhishek Sharma opens the second innings with a big hit. While Sharma was firing on all cylinders, first Shubman Gill and then Tilak Varma played with patience in the middle. With a proper game plan and composure, India won the 3rd of the 5-match T20I series with ease. With the swift victory, the Men in Blue are leading the race by 2-1 with two more matches to play.
