After a couple of postponements and a long wait, India could finally make their trip to Bangladesh in January 2027, as per reports from India Today, with the first week of the month coming out as a possible window for three ODIs and as many T20Is. Even though none of the boards have confirmed it, the reports have indicated a positive reality.

Both teams are currently featuring in their respective series. Bangladesh are hosting the West Indies in a two-match Test series, while the Shubman Gill-led side, having completed the five-match T20I series, is focused on the five ODIs against New Zealand before playing two Tests.
