The Pakistan fans came to the Dubai International Cricket Stadium for the Men’s Asia Cup 2025 against India with lots of expectation and anticipation. It was both sides’ second game in the group stage, having already gained strong victories in the opening clashes respectively against the Oman and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) sides.

However, the Salman Ali Agha-led side couldn’t make a stand for them in the clash. From losing Saim Ayub on the very first legal delivery of the innings, nothing went in their favor from the start as they kept losing wickets regularly and were restricted to 127/9 in their 20 overs. After the game, a Pakistan fan met the Sports Yaari journalist to express his emotions.

“Do you even know the noise they have created inside the stadium? So, can we tolerate this buzz!! Earlier, under the sun, we had to wait for three to five hours in the queue to get into the ground. All right, at least give us five minutes of happiness. We had bought the costliest tickets, taken the flight, and came from Pakistan to Dubai only to watch the game!!” A Pakistan fan revealed to a Sports Yaari journalist.

Out of 127, their lower-order batter, Shaheen Afridi, drilled an unbeaten 33 runs in 16 balls with the help of four sixes. Many expected that India might find it equally tough in the second innings of the game. But Abhishek Sharma laid down the winning platform with his windy knock of 31 runs in 13 balls, scoring four fours and two sixes.

“We came here for two days to enjoy the game. Now, we are returning. But what should I do now? I can’t understand. I am telling you that they need to build a team of experienced and veteran players here. What kind of cricket is this team playing!! They generally have a difference of 19-20. In this case, it was 1-20!!Pakistan fan added.

Suryakumar Yadav’s unbeaten 47 runs in 37 balls completed the chase by seven wickets with 25 balls to spare. Their last group-stage clash will now be played against Oman in Abu Dhabi.
