India vs Pakistan Asia Cup 2025 game to get suspended? Supreme Court to take final decision
Amidst all the growing tension on whether India would be featuring in the Men's T20 Asia Cup 2025 clash against Pakistan, which is scheduled to take place on September 14, the Supreme Court will provide the final decision on the game getting the green signal.

Under the leadership of Suryakumar Yadav, India will begin their campaign in the 2025 season of the Asia Cup 2025 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium as they will feature in the curtain raiser against the United Arab Emirates before being scheduled to take on Pakistan four days later at the same venue. But will that game that? That has been the biggest question.
The controversial yet most-anticipated clash will create massive controversy because there were growing demands from the fans to not have any sporting relationship after the recent Operation Sindoor. Even though the Indian government has given the BCCI a clean chit to face Pakistan in multinational events, it has not in bilateral series.

Amidst this situation, a social activist from Pune, Ketan Tirodkar, has filed a petition in the Supreme Court demanding that the match be declared unconstitutional. He argues in that petition that the honorable court should look to ban the encounter in light of the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Kashmir, which took place just three months ago.

The Pune activist also claimed that allowing such a match to go ahead against Article 21 of the Indian Constitution isn’t appropriate as it guarantees every citizen the right to life and personal liberty, including the right to live with dignity. It has also urged the Supreme Court to direct the Central Government to implement the National Sports Governance Act, 2025.
That demands that the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) be brought under the control of the NSF (National Sports Federation) and be made to register with the National Sports Board (NSB). It insists that the board follow the rules and regulations of these sports bodies.
Pakistan will open their campaign against Oman on September 12 in Abu Dhabi before turning their attention to the India clash two days later. During the Legends League recently, the Indian side decided not to play the clash against Pakistan, who ended as the runners-up of the competition, having not been needed to play the semifinal.
