Victories in both the first two matches of the three-match ODI series between India Women and Zimbabwe Women would give the blue brigade a chance to give a few new players a look, while the tourists would come with full energy, aim to avoid a 3-0 series defeat, and play for pride.

During the second clash of the series, the Smriti Mandhana-led side gained a victory by 121 runs. The twin centuries from Harmanpreet Kaur and Deepti Sharma propelled them to 328/6 before the visitors were restricted to 207 in 48.5 overs.
