SunRisers Hyderabad are hosting Kolkata Knight Riders (SRH vs KKR) in the 45th game of the IPL 2026. Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium (Uppal, Hyderabad) is hosting this fixture on Sunday afternoon. It is the fifth match at this venue in the IPL 2026, while SRH are playing their 10th game and KKR are playing their ninth match of the season. It is their second meeting in the ongoing season.
The IPL 2016 champions SunRisers Hyderabad are in third position in the IPL 2026 points table with 12 points after recording six wins and three losses. SRH are currently among the in-form teams in the IPL 2026, as they are running with a five-match winning streak.
On the other hand, the three-time champions Kolkata Knight Riders are struggling at the moment, as they are in eighth position with five points after recording two wins, one no result, and five losses. After failing to win in their first six games of the season (one no result and five defeats), KKR won both of their last two matches.

After SRH scored 226/8 in 20 overs, KKR were bowled out for 161 runs. SRH won that match by 65 runs, while they also won their previous meeting in the IPL 2025, where SRH won by 110 runs in Delhi.

SunRisers Hyderabad captain Pat Cummins won the toss and chose to bat first. Kolkata Knight Riders skipper Ajinkya Rahane also confirmed that he would be looking to bat first in this afternoon's game.
