It is the 50th game of the IPL 2026, where the Lucknow Super Giants vs Royal Challengers Bengaluru (LSG vs RCB) match has been scheduled. Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium (Lucknow) is hosting this fixture on Thursday night (May 7). While both teams are playing their 10th game of the season, it is their second meeting in the IPL 2026, and the venue is hosting its fifth game of the tournament. 

Lucknow Super Giants are struggling in 10th and last place in the IPL 2026 points table with only four points in nine games, as they have won twice and lost seven times. After two back-to-back wins, LSG have suffered six consecutive losses to put them in the bottom position. 

The defending champions Royal Challengers Bengaluru are in the third position in the IPL 2026 points table, as they have earned 12 points after nine games (six wins and three losses). In their last four games, RCB won two times and lost twice.  

Bengaluru hosted the RCB vs LSG first meeting of the season, which was the 23rd game of the season. After LSG were sent to bat first, the visitors scored 146 all out. In reply, RCB chased down the target in 15.1 overs after losing five wickets.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru captain Rajat Patidar won the toss and chose to field first. Meanwhile, Lucknow Super Giants skipper Rishabh Pant is ready to take the first batting challenge.
