Chennai Super Kings registered a comprehensive 8-wicket win over Mumbai Indians in IPL 2026 at Chennai. MI posted 159/7 in 20 overs after batting first. Naman Dhir top-scored with 57 off 37 balls while Ryan Rickelton and others got small starts. Hardik Pandya faced difficulty in scoring runs and got only 18 off 23 balls. For CSK, Anshul Kamboj bowled very well and took 3 wickets, while Noor Ahmad picked 2 wickets. Debutant Ramakrishna Ghosh also got his first IPL wicket by dismissing Suryakumar Yadav.

Chasing 160, CSK got off to a steady start. Ruturaj Gaikwad led from the front with a calm 67* off 48 balls. Kartik Sharma supported him well with 54* off 40 balls. Earlier, Urvil Patel added a quick 24 off 12 balls before getting out. After that, Gaikwad and Kartik built a strong partnership and kept the chase under control.

Mumbai bowlers could not create pressure, and CSK chased the target easily with 11 balls left. This was a complete team performance from CSK, especially with the ball in the first innings. With this win, CSK stayed in the playoff race, while MI’s chances became very slim.
