IPL 2026: Who said what after SRH vs RR match 21
Sunrisers Hyderabad delivered a strong all-round performance, with Ishan Kishan’s 91 and a brilliant bowling effort leading to a convincing 57-run win over Rajasthan Royals in IPL 2026.

Sunrisers Hyderabad proved that they are not just a batting team, as they managed to defeat Rajasthan Royals by 57 runs. In Match 21 of IPL 2026, SRH scored 218 after being asked to bat first. Ishan Kishan played a great innings of 91, just missing his century. Heinrich Klaasen made 40 from 26 balls, Nitish Kumar Reddy (28) and Salil Arora (24*) contributed useful runs towards the end.
SRH lost early wickets as Abhishek Sharma (0) and Travis Head (18) got out quickly, but Ishan Kishan kept scoring with confidence. Klaasen supported him well and later played attacking shots. Rajasthan bowlers struggled, though Jofra Archer took 2/37, and Sandeep Sharma, Tushar Deshpande, and Riyan Parag picked one wicket each.
Chasing 219, Rajasthan Royals had a very poor start. Yashasvi Jaiswal got out for 1, and Praful Hinge shocked everyone by taking three wickets in the first over. Sakib Hussain also bowled well and took important wickets. Donovan Ferreira scored 69 off 44 and Ravindra Jadeja made 45 off 32, but they didn’t get enough support. SRH bowlers kept taking wickets and won the match easily.
With this win, Sunrisers Hyderabad moved to fourth place in the points table with two wins in five matches. Rajasthan Royals are still at the top, even after this loss, with four wins so far.
SRH vs RR: Who said what after the match
Riyan Parag (Rajasthan Royals Captain):
"Not a lot of time to feel the emotions, to be honest. We lost back-to-back wickets, credit to the way they bowled. Probably a few miscalculations from us, but we will take this as a blip and move on. (on the wicket) It was pretty good actually. I felt bowling second might have been better. It was a little sticky with the new ball with the shine on, and after that it slowed down a bit. (on the debutant seamers' surprising element) Absolutely. I haven’t seen them much in domestic cricket. I think I played Sakib once against Bihar. They bowled really well in the first 4-5 overs and got good support from the crowd. (on whether he would have changed something in the 1st innings) We started well. We could have done a few things better. Ishan Kishan was batting really well, so I didn’t want to take that risk with Jaddu bhai. Bishnoi bowled well. It’s just a blip. We move on to Kolkata and look to do better".

Ishan Kishan (Sunrisers Hyderabad Captain):
"Definitely happy with this win and get two points. That's what we were expecting from our bowlers. Come in and enjoy their time and happy with this bowling performance. (On giving the opportunity to Hinge and Sakib) You also have to look at how hungry the young bowlers are. They were working hard with our coaches and Varun Aaron. That's something we were looking for. We wanted to give them a chance to play at home. They did well in the practice matches. I think that was a good decision. (His thoughts on the first-innings total) I think looking at the batting unit and the form that these guys are carrying. The way Abhishek plays, he plays that way. Our job is to carry the game forward. But if he (Abhishek) gets going, he will take you to 260 or something close to it. (Reason behind not keeping wickets tonight?) As a captain, I thought there was some miscommunication. I think we used to lose some time while talking with the bowler. So, I decided to field tonight. (Is this the way forward?) Hopefully, yes."
Praful Hinge (Player of the Match):
"(if he ever dreamt of such a debut) I manifested this last year. If I made a debut I wanted to take 4-5 wickets and wanted to dominate the powerplay. I believe in manifesting. I started playing at the age of 13. Didn't know what is leather ball cricket. I asked my father to take me to a club. I want to dedicate this award to my family. They made plenty of sacrifices for me. (on his thinking and favorite wicket) Sooryavanshi's wicket was the best because he is in form. I told some people that I would get him out first ball with a bouncer. I spoke to Varun Aaron regarding the plans and it paid off. (on his body and injuries) I am okay right now. I want to thank MRF Pace Academy to take good care of me when I went there."
