The Indian wicket-keeper batter, Ishan Kishan, lost his cool upon his arrival at home from Japan after winning the Asian Games 2026 Gold Medal when they beat Pakistan in the final at the Korogi Sports Park in Nisshin. Throughout the season, the left-handed batter was in prime form with the bat.
However, just 24 hours after the Indian side’s return, their focus will shift to the opening T20I of the five-match series against the West Indies on October 06 at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Stadium in Lucknow.

How Ishan Kishan performed at Asian Games 2026: 80 vs Sri Lanka and 20 in the Gold Medal final
Kishan, who smashed a dashing double-century during the Duleep Trophy for the East Zone to win the tournament, was in hot form even during their home T20I series against Afghanistan. But he took it to a different level in the Asian Games, playing some fabulous knocks in difficult conditions.
During the clash against Sri Lanka, in the second semifinal, Kishan remained unbeaten on 80 runs off 46 balls at a strike rate of 173.91, thanks to four boundaries and five sixes. While the rest of the line-up struggled to get going, he was the shining light of the side.
