The Indian pacer, Jasprit Bumrah, and their spin all-rounder, Axar Patel, have been making headlines while taking their relaxing break in Japan ahead of the Men’s Asian Games 2026. Bumrah and Axar’s hilarious video has gone viral on social media platforms, where the former was seen making a comfortable neck pillow.

Bumrah was recently part of India's three-match T20I series against Afghanistan at home, which was played at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi, having been out of the two-match Test series against Sri Lanka, which the blue brigade won by a 1-0 margin.

The specific viral clip of Bumrah’s hilarious ‘neck-pillow-making moment’ with Axar went viral in a light-hearted behind-the-scenes interaction. Bumrah made a special pillow, where the shopkeeper measured the length of the Indian pacer’s neck before putting him straight on the bed.

The neck wasn’t in the right posture for Bumrah at the beginning. The shopkeeper used a language translator to advise Bumrah that sleeping on his stomach isn’t recommended on the bed. Later, they tried it twice and thrice and finally got it right.

Axar Patel shot the entire video as Bumrah revealed that he never imagined being tired while making a neck-comfortable pillow for him. This happened just after India won a thriller by two runs against Japan in their historic one-off T20I clash.

Bumrah, having played all three T20Is against Afghanistan after his recovery, didn’t feature in the one-off T20I in Japan during the five-over curtailed contest due to the persistent rain. Their opening game of the Asian Games 2026 will be on September 28 at the Korogi Sports in Nisshin.

If India get the victory, then they will progress to the semifinal, which will be played at the same venue on October 11, while the final takes place on October 13 for the Gold Medal. Bumrah will have a major role to play with the ball during the competition.
