He chose the iconic Lord's cricket ground, where he made his Test debut for England, as the stage to mark his comeback in the Whites after a series of injuries. Jofra Archer was absent from the longest format of the game for almost four years. Now, through the ongoing Tendulkar-Anderson trophy, the pacer announced his revival.
So far, in the way he has bowled, it has been a standout performance from England's bowling side. After taking the wicket of Yashasvi Jaiswal the previous day, Archer took himself to another level on Day 3. After the lunch, the seamer produced his Test career's fastest spell: six back-to-back deliveries close to touching the 150 km/h mark.
England Cricket, from their official social media profile, shared the moment of Archer's fiery over. Pace, bounce, body line delivery—an example of classic fast bowling. The 30-year-old proved why he was called one of the most lethal pacers on the planet.
