The Real Madrid midfielder, Jude Bellingham, was spotted attending The Women’s Hundred 2026 between Birmingham Phoenix and Welsh Fire at Edgbaston in Birmingham as the crowd gave him a round of applause once his picture came on the giant screen at the venue.

The Birmingham Phoenix co-owner interacted with the fans before watching the women’s team beat the Welsh Fire side in a nail-biting contest. Bellingham was accompanied by his father Mark and mother Denis, a day after he attended his boyhood club.

Bellingham received a rousing reception from none other than the former World Cup-winning spin all-rounder of the Indian side and the renowned commentator, Ravi Shastri, and later was joined by the two captains of the men’s Hundred side- Donovan Ferreira, leading the Birmingham Phoenix, and Phil Salt, the captain of the Welsh Fire.

Bellingham purchased a stake of 1.2%, which was valued at around 1 million pound in the franchise, which is co-owned by the Warwickshire County Cricket Club and Knighthead Capital. He got a 0.6% stake from both sides, who also own Birmingham City Football Club.

The 23-year-old star footballer is expected to join his Real Madrid teammates for the pre-season training ahead of the new campaign of La Liga.

Phoenix beat Welsh Fire in nail-biting chase to claim first win of the Hundred 2026

The Welsh Fire women smashed a decent score of 144 runs for the loss of three wickets in their allotted 100 balls as Georgia Voll smashed a superb knock of 78 runs off 55 balls at a strike rate of 141.82 with the help of nine boundaries and two sixes, while Sophie Devine remained unbeaten on 35 runs off two fours and three sixes.

Birmingham Phoenix, in reply, completed the chase with seven wickets in hand and one ball to spare, thanks to the two half-centurions, Alice Capsey and Australia's Ellyse Perry, putting up a stand of 86 runs off 54 balls. Perry remained unbeaten on 68 runs off 46 balls at a strike rate of 147.83.
