The Manchester Super Giants’ women’s team stars, Smriti Mandhana and Richa Ghosh, were captured in a light-hearted and funny moment in the backyard cricket challenge as the hilarious video went viral on social media platforms. 

The team, formerly known as the Manchester Originals, entered a new era for the Women's Hundered 2026 tournament season following the RPSG Group takeover and under the captaincy of Meg Lanning, a former World Cup-winning Australian captain.

Smriti Mandhana's funny backyard cricket dismissal of Richa Ghosh: What happened

In a recent video shared by the franchise’s X account, Mandhana and Richa Ghosh were captured where the former was seen to be bowling to the wicket-keeper batter of the Indian side. The cricketers were seen playing backyard cricket, where the Siliguri-born needed four runs to win.

However, Smriti Mandhana’s slower delivery resulted in a run-out as the players were rolling on the floor in laughing mode, as it was a very rare sight of Mandhana dismissing someone with the ball in hand.
