KL Rahul has created history by becoming the first Indian opener in 46 years to score over 500 runs in an overseas Test series. He has been one of India’s most dependable batters this summer, with only captain Shubman Gill scoring more runs than him in the series. In a tough tour for India, Rahul's form has been one of the few bright spots.

In the fourth Test at Old Trafford, England took control by scoring a massive 669 in their first innings, thanks to Ben Stokes, who scored 141 runs and took five wickets. This gave England a huge lead of 311 runs in the 4 test.

India’s second innings didn’t start well either. Both openers, Yashasvi Jaiswal and Sai Sudharsan, got out for golden ducks. But Rahul and Gill stepped up and fought back. Gill scored a solid half-century, while Rahul looked strong and was closing in on a hundred.
