The DC wicket-keeper, KL Rahul, has dismissed Urvil Patel with a lightning-fast stumping during the DC vs CSK clash of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026.

The Delhi Capitals (DC) hopped and pupped to somehow reach 155 runs for the loss of seven wickets during their Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 clash against the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. That was even possible because of them nailing five sixes in the last 16 deliveries of the first inning.

In an aim to defend such scores, the bowling sides will always need to take wickets regularly, especially inside the powerplay. And moreover, that would always keep them in the hunt on a surface which has been slow, not giving enough chances to the batters to get settled in the middle and play the big shots.
KL Rahul’s superb stumping sends back Urvil Patel for 17 in IPL 2026
Chennai Super Kings needed a strong opening stand between Sanju Samson and the captain, Ruturaj Gaikwad, in the middle. But after the dismissal of the latter, they got an aggressive Urvil Patel coming at number three. The visitors didn’t get a strong start in the first five overs of the chase, being at 28/1.

But Urvil cracked two successive sixes against the successful Lungi Ngidi. He picked the fifth delivery on the pads and flicked it perfectly to send it packing into the backward square leg region for a massive six. The right-handed batter backed it up with another six to finish the power play when he dispatched the full ball over the long-on for another over boundary.
But his celebration didn’t go long into the night. The DC captain, Axar Patel, sent back the batter for 17 runs off nine balls. It was a slower delivery from the left-arm spinner, which beat the youngster’s defense. The ball gripped and turned.
